Constance "Connie" Linda Bovee, 75, of Macungie died June 4, 2023, at the Lehigh Valley Health Network Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo. A gathering of friends and family will be held following the service at Table 212 in Montevideo.
Connie was born on June 19, 1947, in Granite Falls, Minnesota to Richard and Beverly (Frederickson) Kiroff. She grew up in Montevideo, Minnesota graduating from Montevideo High School in 1965. She attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, graduating in 1969 with a B.A. in Political Science and subsequently graduated from Moorhead State College in Moorhead, Minnesota in 1970 with a B.S. in Education. She married Robert "Bob" Bovee, also of Montevideo, on June 16, 1973. After marriage, Bob and Connie moved to the East Coast, living in New York, Philadelphia, and most recently in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. Throughout her life, Connie worked in administrative capacities at several independent schools and colleges including the Brearley School, the William Penn Charter School, the Quaker School, Lehigh University and Cedar Crest College.
Survivors: Connie is survived by her husband, Robert, daughter Stephanie Bovee (Daniel Anixt) of Ashburn, Virginia, and sisters Katherine Slocum of Gilbert, Iowa, and Barbara Kiroff Ebers, of Jacksonville, Florida; sister-in-law, Vicki Kiroff of Montevideo, MN; brother-in-law, Nathan (Marsha) Miles of Duncanville, Texas; half brother, Ron (Carolyn) Holt, Cathlamet, WA; as well as numerous nieces and cousins and her much loved and devoted Irish setter, Oliver. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard Kiroff, a sister Janis Miles; two sisters in infancy; and brother-in-law, Randy Slocum.
Local arrangements are being handled by the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
