Cynthia Anderson

Cynthia "Cindy" Anderson, of Montevideo, died Monday, May 1, 2023 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of  73.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  Rev. Jeff Fitzkappes will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, from 5-7:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service at 6:30 PM.  There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before the service.

Cynthia Margaret Anderson was born in Montevideo, MN August 25, 1949 the daughter of Monrud and Catherine (Halverson) Anderson.  She graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1967.  After high school, she attended Dunwoody Institute.  She spent a few years working in Minneapolis before returning home on the farm.  Over the years she held various jobs including Ekberg’s, Trinity Lutheran Church, Punt Realty, Casey’s, and most recently at CCM Health until retiring in 2019 at the age of 70.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and was proud of each of them.  She cherished her time spent with “the girls”.

She is survived by her mother, Catherine Anderson of Montevideo; her daughter, Jessica Anderson of Clarkfield; grandkids: Tristan, Matthew (Emma), Abigail, and Justin; a sister-in-law, Jeanie Anderson; her nieces whom she had a special bond with, Mindy (Nick) Hagen, Missy (Jason) Mielke, and Melanie (Jay) Baures; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her father, Monrud; a brother, Michael; and a nephew, Jason.
