Adeline Loberg died on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 88.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Wayne D. Kopitzke officiating. Interment will be in the East Norway Lake Lutheran Cemetery. Anderson Funeral Home of Montevideo is in charge of arrangements.
Adeline Clara Ann (Bourne) Loberg was born on January 8, 1919 in Montevideo, MN to Oscar S. and Clara (Lund) Bourne. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Watson and attended rural school District 33. She was united in marriage to Gene Hess at Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1954. She was a care giver to her parents and lived and worked in the Montevideo area until 1966 when she moved to Minneapolis and worked at Sears. On May 16, 1967 she was united in marriage to Roy Loberg at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, IA. When they retired they moved to Norway Lake near Willmar, MN, later moving into Willmar. In June 2000 she became a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo. She was a member of the East Norway Lake Lutheran Church and enjoyed oil painting, vegetable and flower gardening and all God’s creatures with a special love for her many pets.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law: Esther Bourne and Joy Bourne, both of Montevideo as well as by seven nieces, five nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy in 1991; two brothers: Oscar and Henry Bourne; three sisters: Anna Huth, Violet Cordingly and Harriet Davidson; two nieces and three nephews.
