Agnes C. Bergo, surrounded by her loving family, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 1999, at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 90.
Agnes C. Lockrem was born September 8, 1908, in Turtle Lake, North Dakota, to Ole and Ragna (Nelson) Lockrem. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith while growing up in North Dakota. She attended high school in Turtle Lake and then the School of Cosmetology in Fargo.
Agnes married John Bergo on July 14, 1928, in Underwood, ND. John and Agnes retired and moved to Dawson, MN in 1978.
Agnes enjoyed participating as a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Throughout her life, she was a loving and attentive wife, mother, and grandmother.
Agnes is survived by her three children: James Bergo and wife, Kaye, of Minot, ND; Marlene Lee and husband, Bob, of Dawson; and Dennis Bergo and wife, Linda, of Seeley Lake, MT; 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Hofrenning and husband, Gerry, of Minneapolis, MN; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John C. Bergo, on July 26, 1998; grandson, Timothy P. Lee; three brothers: Clarence, Olie, and Leo Lockrem; and two sisters: Lillian and Ruth Lockrem.
