Agnes Olava (Andrews) Dalen

Agnes Dalen died on October 14, 1998 at the Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center in St. James, MN at the age of 98.

Agnes Olava (Andrews) Dalen was born on January 18, 1900 in Chippewa Co., MN to Andrew and Christina (Bystrom) Andrews.  She grew up in Chippewa Co and graduated from Madison Normal School in 1919.  She taught elementary school near Spicer, MN and Milan, MN until her marriage to Leonard Dalen on November 18, 1923.  She lived in the Milan area until moving to St. James, MN in 1991.

She is survived by a son - Leonard Dalen and his wife Betty of St. James, MN; a daughter - JoAnn Schliemann and her husband James of Yakima, WA; grandchildren - Jerry Dalen and his wife Sue of Wabasha, MN; Dean Dalen and his wife Theresa of Waconia, MN; Jane Miller and her husband Brad of Plymouth, MN; LeAnn Volesky and her husband Gary of Ft. Benning, GA; and David Schliemann and his wife Tamera of Yakima, WA; great grandchildren - Jennifer, Jillian, Andrea and Adam Dalen; Kaia and Joshua Miller; and Alexander Volesky; and by brothers - John Andrews and Russell Andrews, both of Milan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard in 1982,  by sisters - Amy Bohm, Lillian Lang and Julia Dalen; and by brothers - Willie, Arthur, Irvin and Sibert Andrews
