Agnes Jorgenson, formerly of Boyd, died on Friday, July 6, 2001 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 96.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, July 9, 2001 at 1:30 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd with Rev. Tim Lindhorst officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Agnes Constance (Larson) Jorgenson was born on March 28, 1905 in Ten Mile Lake Township of Lac Qui Parle Co., MN to John and Anne (Angen) Larson. She baptized and confirmed at St. Petri Lutheran Church. She attended rural school through 8th grade at District #56 and attended Boyd High School, graduating in 1923.In May of 1942 she was united in marriage to Adolph Quaal, and they resided and farmed on his home farm. He died in October of 1968. On October 25, 1976 she was united in marriage to Arthur Jorgenson They lived on the Quaal farm until he died in November of 1979. She lived on the farm until about three years ago and was currently a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church and later of Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. She enjoyed music, serving as church organist for years and sang in church choirs for over 25 years. She enjoyed farm and yard work, hand work, flowers and gardening, as well as helping neighbors and friends.
She is survived by a sister - Cora Gemsey of Montevideo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands - Adolph Quaal in 1968 and Arthur Jorgenson in 1979 and by a brother - Henry Larson.
