Agnes Storlien, of Dawson, died Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 73.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Borgund Lutheran Church, rural Madison, MN. Rev. Kathleen Soldwisch will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. There will also be visitation at the church for 1 hour before the service.
Agnes DeLaine (Sandbakken) Storlien was born July 14, 1942 at Dawson, MN the daughter of Paul and Alma (Renslow) Sandbakken. She graduated from Milan High School in 1960. Agnes was united in marriage with Stanford Storlien December 10, 1960. They made their home in Dawson before moving to the state of Washington. She was the manager of a Hallmark store while they lived there. They returned to Dawson in 2001 and she worked as a clerk at Dueber’s and at Nicky’s. Agnes enjoyed making crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Stanford; a daughter, Sarah (Daniel) Irving of Red Bluff, CA; four grandchildren: Kelli Irving, Kerri (Jarrett) Butler, Kimberly Irving, and Eric Irving; two great-grandchildren: Jocelyn and Adam; and a sister, Lorraine Folkestad of Montevideo.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Bernice Fremo.
