Albert Stephen Kashmark

Albert Kashmark, of Watson, died Sunday, May 22, 2005 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 66.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Watson Lutheran Church.  Rev. Larry Olson will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with the family present from 6-8:00 PM.

Albert Stephen Kashmark was born December 23, 1938 in Edison Township, Swift County, MN the son of Stephen and Virginia (Konieczny) Kashmark.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Catholic Church in Appleton, MN.  He attended rural schools in the Appleton area.  Albert was united in marriage with Arlene Larson January 30, 1961 in Watson.  He joined the Watson Lutheran Church in the 1970's.  Following Arlene's death in 1979, he was united in marriage with Kathy Christiansen on June 21, 1980 at Maynard Lutheran Church.  Albert drove truck over the road for a number of years and also worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Meridian Aggregates before retiring in 2001.  He enjoyed the outdoors, archery, gardening, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; seven children: Sherolyn (Jim) Bahl of Appleton, MN, Randy (Laurie) Kashmark of Phoenix, AZ, Brenda (Mike) Varhol of New Brighton, MN, Jackie (Kurt Nejezchleba) Kashmark of Mound, MN, Melissa Kashmark of Minneapolis, MN, Jana Kashmark of Big Lake, MN, and Wade Kashmark of Montevideo, MN; nine grandchildren: Jason (Melanie) Bahl, Kyle Bahl, Kaitlyn Bahl, Steven Kashmark, Andrew Kashmark, Brandon Kashmark, Connor Varhol, Monique Varhol, and Kevin Klosowsky; one great-grandchild, Danica Bahl; two brothers: Richard (Inez) Kashmark of Appleton, MN and George Kashmark of Hutchinson, MN; four sisters: Alicia (Frank) Woodford of Montevideo, MN, Diane Schliep of Spring Lake Park, MN, Virginia (Mike) Rooney of Benson, MN, and Kathy (Wayne) Stensrud of Madison, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Arlene; and two brothers: Kenneth “Butch" Kashmark and Eugene “Gene” Kashmark.
