Albert "Sonny" Kruckman, of Montevideo, died on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Chippewa Co-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 58. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Marie Eckberg officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart City Cemetery. Albert A "Sonny" Kruckman was born on April 26, 1952 in Granite Falls, MN to Albert and Bernice (Lalim) Kruckman. He was baptized at Granite Falls Lutheran Church and confirmed at Hanley Falls Lutheran Church. He attended school in Hanley Falls, Granite Falls and Clarkfield. He was employed at Swift Co. and the Produce in Marshall, MN and worked for several farmers at different times. He worked alongside his uncle Bud for a few years at the rock quarry in Belview and worked at Flinn's Salvage, running the "crusher" and also scrapping metal and junk cars. He shared this lifestyle with many friends. He resided most of his life in the Montevideo area, and most recently resided at Burnsdale Apartments until his health issues brought him to Luther Haven for recovery. He is survived by his siblings: Betty Jensen of Madison, SD; Beverly (and Jerry) McClain of Garretson, SD; Rosemarie Haase of Montevideo; Jane (and Greg) Flinn of Montevideo; Harold (and Shelly) Kruckman of Hazel Run, MN and William "Bill"Kruckman of Dawson, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents
