Albie Pederson

Albie Pederson, 64, of Montevideo died October 28, 1992 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital in Montevideo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31 at 1:00 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.  Rev. Warren Broughton will officiate and interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home with the family present from 7-8:00 P.M.  There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before services on Saturday.

Albie Harland Pederson was born January 28, 1928 at Montevideo, MN the son of the late Alfred and Hilda (Myhre) Pederson.  Albie was baptized at Jevnaker Lutheran Church and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. He graduated from Montevideo Senior High.  He was united in marriage with Beulah G. Thompson on December 4, 1949 at Riverside Lutheran in Dawson.  They made their home at Montevideo.  Albie worked as a truck driver for Montevideo Creamery, Cargill, Montevideo Bakery, and as a mail carrier for the Post Office for 29 years.  He retired in January of 1989.

Albie served in the Army/National Guard.  He entered service in 1944 and was discharged from active duty May 9, 1952 and from the National Guard July 1, 1981.  He received several awards including Good Conduct Military Awards, National Rifle Association, Junior - Pro Marksman and Sharpshooter.  Albie was also active at Our Savior's Lutheran Church where served as Sunday School Treasurer, Usher, and Offering Counter.  He als received a Safe Driver Award from the Post Office.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah; two daughters: Patricia Prekker and her husband Ardeen of Ramsey, MN and Cynthia Stranlund and her husband John of Savage, MN; one son Mitchell Pederson of Montevideo, MN; and eight grandchildren: Toni, Adam, and Andrew Prekker; Misty, Amber, and Ryan Pederson; and Chad and Collin Stranlund.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
