Alice Bergerson, of Henderson, MN and formerly of Montevideo, MN died peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Mayo Hospital Mankato at the age of 92. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Matt Philaya officiating. Interment will be in Brono Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Alice Caroline (Engebretson) Bergerson was born on August 22, 1920 in Montevideo, MN to John and Agnes (Carlson) Engebretson. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church and attended Montevideo area schools. She was united in marriage to Melvin Bergerson. She lived in the Montevideo, Ortonville, Clarkfield, and St. Peter, MN areas and for the past nine years has lived in Henderson, MN. She loved vegetable and flower gardening, entertaining and making lefse. She loved to prepare large meals for her family and her family was very important to her.
She is survived by five children: Betty (and Barry) Wood of St. Peter, MN; Ronald Bergerson of Henderson, MN; Kenneth (and Jeannie) Bergerson of Andover, MN; Judy Scott of Waseca, MN and Cindy Tilton of Good Thunder, MN; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a great, great grandchild; a sister, Viola Jorgenson of Montevideo and a niece and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin, a son, John Bergerson, two children in infancy and two grandchildren.
