Alice Danielson was born July 17, 1909 in Baxter Township, Lac Qui Parle County, MN the daughter of Charles and Anna (Anderson) Borgendale. She graduated from Dawson High School in 1927 and attended Normal Training in Madison. Alice taught rural school for many years and later taught school in Dawson retiring in 1974. She was united in marriage with Ferris Welch on July 1, 1934 at the Borgendale home in Baxter Township. Ferris died suddenly on August 4, 1967 in Colorado. Alice was united in marriage with Leslie Danielson June 30, 1974 in Dawson, MN by Rev. Russell Anderson. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, Grace WELCA, and the Secretary of the resident's council at Johnson Memorial Home.
Alice died on Thursday, February 25, 1999 at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson at the age of 89.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie Danielson; two daughters: Betty (Wesley) Baumgardner of Palm Springs, CA and Mary (Doug) Rothermel of Glendale, AZ; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Welch of Glenwood, MN; two step-children: Roger (Louise) Danielson of Isle, MN and Ruth (Dan) Lee of Rock Island, IL; five grandchildren: Kyle Welch, Angela Welch, Michael Goforth, Michael Danielson, Karen Danielson, and Elizabeth Lee; one great-grandson, Kyler Chance Goforth; four sisters: Dorothy (Andrew) Hendrickson of Montevideo, MN, Phyllis (Clarence) Saltee of Canby, MN, Lillian Simpson of Sioux Falls, SD, and Gladys Boxrud of Willmar, MN; one sister-in-law, Lorraine Borgendale of Montevideo, MN; and one brother-in-law, Ted Kleinsasser of Alcoa, TN.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ferris Welch; one son, Ronald Welch; one brother, Charles Borgendale; and one sister, Mabel Kleinsasser.
