Alice Marie (Birhanzl) Holte

Alice Holte, of Willmar, died on April 8, 2003 at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar at the age of 59.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Rodger Prois officiating.  Burial will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Alice Marie (Birhanzl) Holte was born on September 7, 1943 in Montevideo, MN to Edward and Opal (Augeson) Birhanzl.  She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1961.  She was united in marriage to Roy Holte, Jr. on October 26, 1961, from whom she was later divorced.  In 1963 she moved to Willmar, MN and has worked at Molenaar, Inc. for the past 30 years.  She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds & squirrels and spending time with her beloved cat, “Blackie”.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Samora and her husband Fred of Montevideo; a grandson, Jesse Mickels of Montevideo; a brother, Richard  Birhanzl of Montevideo, a brother-in-law, Aaron Winters of Montevideo, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ginger Winters.
