Alice Johnson, of Montevideo, died on Saturday March 4, 1995 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 89. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday March 9, 1995 at 1:30 P.M. at Jevnaker Lutheran Church with Rev. Gregory Gabriel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 6:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo
Alice (Saue) Johnson was born on March 2, 1906 in Chippewa Co., Minnesota to Ludvig and Gena(Larson) Saue. She grew up in Chippewa Co. and attended rural schools. On March 14, 1925 she was united in marriage to Arthur W. Johnson. They farmed in Mandt Township of Chippewa Co. for many years. She was a member of Jevnaker Lutheran Church and was a member of it's Women's group. She moved into Montevideo in October of 1993 and was currently a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home.
She is survived by daughters - LaMoine Einerson of Excelsior Springs, Mo. and Roma and her husband Richard Belsaas of Watertown, SD; by sons - Gene and his wife Joyce Johnson of Rogers, AK: Dennis and his wife Linda Johnson of Bellflower, CA; Delane and his wife Karen Johnson of Cambridge, Mn; and Gary Johnson of Montevideo,MN; 21 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur in 1983; by a son - Delos; by a daughter - Corine Johnson; and by a sister - Ida Halvorson.
