Alitrice Neraasen, of Dawson, died June 19, 2015 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson, MN at the age of 88.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson, MN. Pastor Ryan Jerome will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 14 , from 5 - 7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.
Alitrice Mae (Boraas) Neraasen was born May 28, 1927 at home in Lac qui Parle Township, MN to Clarence and Hannah (Dahl) Boraas. She was baptized and confirmed at Lac qui Parle Lutheran Church. She graduated from Dawson High School in 1945. She attended the Unitversity of MN for two years for library science. Alitrice worked as a social worker, a clerk and was a homemaker.
She was united in marriage to Delos Roisen and he died in 1955. On March 21, 1959, she was united in marriage with Harlan E. Neraasen. She lived in Lac qui Parle County her entire life. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and visiting with friends and family. In her younger days, she was active in circle at church and a member of the quilting club.
She is survived by her children: Jon (Sue) Roisen and Karen (Scott) Darrington both of Dawson; two grandchildren: Aaron (Kathleen) Roisen and their children: Mason and Teagen and Martha (Thomas) Alvarado and their children: Maya, Luca, and Shonen and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two husbands: Delos Roisen in 1955 and Harlan Neraasen in 1997.
