Allen Enstad, of Granite Falls, died on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Granite Falls Manor in Granite Falls at the age of 76. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 2:00 P.M at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Gwen Bohlke officiating. Interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens of rural Montevideo. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Allen Eugene Enstad was born on July 3, 1933 in Granite Falls, MN to Laurence and Idella (Anderson) Enstad. He graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1953. On January 12, 1957 he was united in marriage with Shirley Anderson in Sacred Heart, MN. They made their home in Granite Falls and Montevideo. He was a plant operatpr for Green Co. Rock Quarry for 25 years. He also was a heavy equipment operator for Stark Bros. and worked at Hoffco in Woodlake before retiring. Allen enjoyed fishing and working on things. He also enjoyed the Vikings and MN Twins. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children: Mike Enstad of Granite Falls, MN, Jeff (and Colleen) Enstad of Watertown, SD, Doug (and Julie) Enstad of Big Stone, SD, Curt (and Theresa) Enstad of Willmar, MN, Rick (and Christy) Enstad of Benson, MN, and Shelly (and Jason) Seubert of Montevideo, MN; three brothers: Berger of Madison, WI, David Enstad of Granite Falls, MN, and Dennis of Granite Falls, MN; two sisters: Corrine Steffen and Marlys Lundin all of Granite Falls, MN; 14 grandchildren: Paul Enstad, Bryan Enstad, Trenton Enstad, Brad (and Gina) Enstad, Dan (and Amber) Enstad, Jessica Enstad, Jocelyn (and Jerry) Shoutz, Alicia Enstad, Anthony Enstad, Bryce Enstad, Keith Boysen, Kelsey Boysen, and Jacey Seubert; two step-grandchildren: Rachel Behlings and Matthew Behlings; three great-grandchildren: Emily Shoutz, Mackenzie Enstad, and Madison Enstad; and two step-great-grandchildren: Colin Seidell and Savannah Enstad. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Ina Whitmore and Glenda Worsech; and a granddaughter, Trista Enstad.
