Allen Gary Waller

Allen Waller, of Montevideo, died on Sunday, June 13, 2004 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 48, after having a heart attack in St. Cloud on Friday, June 4th.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Bergen Lutheran Church with Rev. Wayne D. Kopitzke officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening and with the family from 6 - 8 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Allen Gary Waller was born on January 9, 1956 in Montevideo, MN to Harvey and Freda (Borg) Waller.  He was baptized February 24, 1956 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and confirmed in 1971 at Bergen Lutheran Church.  He attended school in Granite Falls and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1974.  On February 16, 1980 he was united in marriage to Tami Tazelaar in Milbank, SD.  He has worked at MTI in Montevideo for the past 17 years and did some farming with life-long friend, Jerry Nelson.  Allen was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church, Pheasants Forever, The Turkey Federation and the Clarkfield Golf League. Allen loved hunting and bragged about his fall pheasant hunting trips to South Dakota.  He recently had taken up turkey hunting and had just bagged a 19 pound bird. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and had a gun collection.  Allen and Tami were godparents for McKenzie, Chelsey, and Jacob Hass, Jerrod Grant and Brady Weerts.

He is survived by his wife, Tami; two daughters: Amy of Montevideo and Angie and her boyfriend Justin Brovold of Montevideo; his mother, Freda Waller of Montevideo; a brother, Curtis and a sister, Avis Grant and her husband Bruce, all of Federal Way, WA; his mother and father-in-law, Larry and LaVonne Via and brothers and sisters- in-law: Bryan, Kim, Shelly, Laurie, Matt and Mark; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey.
