Alpha Marie (Bjorgan) Septon

Alpha Septon of Anoka, MN died on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at the home of her daughter in Ramsey, at the age of 89 years.

Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 29, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Meadow Creek Church, 3037 Bunker Lake Boulevard Northwest, in Andover, Minnesota, with Pastor James Thomason, Pastor Robert Pullar and Pastor Warren Schmalzer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be on Monday, October 1, at 1:30 p.m. in Jevnaker Lutheran Cemetery in rural Montevideo.

Alpha Marie (Bjorgan) Septon was born on December 16, 1917, in Leonard, North Dakota, to Ingmar and Annette (Hagen) Bjorgan. On October 10, 1943, she was united in marriage to Everette Septon at Jevnaker Lutheran Church. After her marriage she lived in Appleton, Minnesota, until 1970 when she moved to Anoka, MN. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton where she was involved in ladies aid, teaching Sunday school, and bible studies. At the time of her death she was a member of Meadow Creek Church in Andover.  She was a long time employee of both the Appleton School District and the Billy Graham Association in Minneapolis.  She enjoyed sewing, caring for her grandchildren and making special dinners for friends and family.

She is survived by her husband Everette; two daughters, Diane Richey (Dan) of Ramsey, MN and Anna Barnard (Tom) of Burnsville, MN; two sons, Luther Septon of Willmar, MN and Edward (Pam) Septon of Naples, FL; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Mae Bjorgan of Elbow Lake, MN;Helen (Cal) Denton of Owatonna, MN and Eunice Septon of Montevideo, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Michael Septon; two brothers, Thorvald and George Bjorgan; and by  two sisters, Angeline Rekstad and Signe Gustafson.
