Alvin Hoff, of Watson, died on Wednesday October 30, 1996 at the Clara City Nursing Home in Clara City at the age of 78.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday November 2, 1996 at 1:30, PM at the Watson Lutheran Church in Watson with Rev. Robert Rendahl officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Alvin Loren Hoff was born on May 7, 1918 in Camp Release Township of Lac Qui Parle Co., MN to Lauritz and Elvina (Hagen) Hoff. He was baptized as a Lutheran and confirmed at Watson Lutheran Church. He attended Watson and Montevideo public schools and served in the US Army during WWII. He farmed near Watson for many years before retiring. He was a member of Watson Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway, American Legion, VFW, and the Farmers Union.
Alvin is survived by a sister - Helga Hoff of Montevideo; by brothers - Olpher Hoff and his wife Gloria and Russell Hoff and his wife Kay, both of Montevideo; a nephew - Wayne of Montevideo and nieces - Jean Quigley and Barbara Ward of Montevideo, Julie Saleiros of Andover, MN and Trisha Hoff of St. Cloud, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers - Leslie and Sydney Hoff and by a nephew - Mark Hoff.
