Amanda Caroline Paulsrud

Amanda Paulsrud, of Montevideo, died Monday, January 9, 2006 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 92.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. at Jevnaker Lutheran Church, rural Montevideo.  Rev. Gregory Gabriel will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with the family present from 5-6:00 P.M.

Amanda Caroline Paulsrud was born May 23, 1913 at Montevideo, MN, the daughter of Andrew and Ida (Christenson) Paulsrud. She was baptized June 22, 1913 and confirmed October 7, 1928 at Jevnaker Lutheran Church.  She attended rural school in Districts 88 and 39.  Amanda was a lifelong resident of the Montevideo area.  She lived in Grace Township before moving into Montevideo in 1990.  She enjoyed doing all kinds of handwork and gardening.  She was a lifelong member of Jevnaker Lutheran Church.

She is survived by three sisters: Inez Paulsrud, Pearl Paulsrud, and Mildred (Roland) Severson of Montevideo, MN; one niece, Janna (Mark) Kovach of Rosemount, MN; and one nephew, James Severson of Alexandria, VA.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Ivar Paulsrud; and two sisters: Aster Paulsrud and one in infancy.
