Andrea "Bubby" Hilden , of Montevideo, died on Thursday November 24, 1994 at her home at the age of 70. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday November 28 at 10:00 AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Douglas Olson and Rev. Warren Broughton officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening and with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Andrea Torrine "Bubby" Hilden was born on July 1, 1924 in Chippewa Co., Minnesota to Albert and Anna (Christenson) Hilden. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1942. She was a graduate of the Mitchell School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital until 1971 and worked as Director of Nurses at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck, retiring in 1991. Since that time she has been working part-time at the Clarkfield Care Center in Clarkfield. She lived most of her lifetime in the Montevideo area and lived in Starbuck from 1972 - 1991. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo and was a member of it's Altar Guild.
She is survived by a brother - Harvey Hilden of Montevideo; by aunts - Hilda Johnson of Austin, Mn. and Myrtle Christenson Bogan of Starbuck, Mn.; by nephews - Rick Hilden and James Hilden of Montevideo; nieces - Sue (Garret) Winter and Pam (Melvern) Haugerud of Montevideo; 2 grand nieces and 5 grand nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister-in-law - Ione Hilden and by a grand nephew - Richard Hilden.
