Angeline Lee, Clarkfield, died February 20, 2017, at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 110.
A prayer service will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Clarkfield Care Center and burial will be in the Clarkfield Lutheran Cemetery next to her husband Art. Visitation will be one hour prior to the prayer service at the Care Center. A memorial service will be held at Clarkfield Lutheran Church in the spring to celebrate her life.
Angeline Gladys (Waterud) Lee was born November 30, 1906, in Dawson, Minnesota, to Alvin and Ida (Thoreson) Waterud. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended Dawson Public School and graduated with the class of 1924. Angie was united in marriage to Arthur Lee of Clarkfield on June 2, 1936. To this union, a son, Jon Charles was born in 1939.
Angie had been active in her church, Clarkfield Lutheran, as a Sunday School teacher and was a member of both the Ladies Chorus and Senior Choir at the church. She was always ready and willing to volunteer wherever she was needed at Clarkfield Lutheran. Angie also loved Minnesota sports teams and enjoyed watching and listening to games.
Angie is survived by one nephew, George (Mary) Holtan of Minneapolis, three great nieces: Jill Malcolm, Minneapolis, Maari Staach, Savage and Tricia Juba, Phoenix, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Art; her son, Jon; sister and brother-in- law, Helen and Claire Holtan and nephew, James Holtan.
A special thank you to the Clarkfield Care Center for their loving support and care of Angie during these past years. She loved living there and always said that she received such wonderful care.
