LouAnn Niemeyer was born September 8, 1949 in Red Cloud, NE to John and Ella May (Conrad) Niemeyer.  She was baptized at Blue Hill Methodist Church.  Ann attended country school until third grade and graduated from Bladen High School.  After high school Ann pursued and obtained her cosmetology degree.  She was united in marriage to Stephen Andrews on March 4, 1967 at Bladen United Methodist in Bladen, NE.  Together they were blessed with two children, Jody and Brett.  They made their home in various midwestern states, but predominantly in Dawson and Montevideo, MN and Sheldon, IA where Ann worked as a dietary aide at the Sanford hospital.

Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who filled her time with family, gardening, crafts, and church involvement.  Ann was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Montevideo.

Ann was very involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives.  She enjoyed sharing her interest in gardening and crafts with them as well as taking them on special adventures.  Ann was her grandchildren’s number one fan whether it was attending fine arts activities or cheering at sporting events.  It brought great joy for her to be near her grandchildren, Kayla and Chelsey, as they grew up in Sheldon, and she loved continuing that tradition in Montevideo with Brady, Blake, and Callie.

Ann was a marvelous gardener as was displayed at all of her homes through the years.  Her gardens were always diverse with beautiful flowers to attract hummingbirds and pollinators. Ann shared her green thumb with her grandchildren, Chelsey and Callie, who enjoyed spending time with their grandma in the garden.  Ann shared her love of gardening with the church community as well by being an active volunteer in the Prayer Garden.

Sewing and crafts also filled Ann’s time.  She was very talented with needle and thread. Through the years she made multiple quilts and blankets for her family as keepsakes, and helped sew quilts with the Quilt Circle at church. All of the grandchildren have special memories with Ann that they will carry in their hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen; children, Jody (Michael) Olson of Sheldon, IA and Brett (Jayann) Andrews of Montevideo, MN; grandchildren, Kayla (Tim) Ullmann, Chelsey Olson, and Brady, Blake and Callie Andrews; sister, Linda (Jerry) Skrdlant; brother, Karl Niemeyer; and numerous extended family and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

Blessed be her memory.
