Ann Marie Olson

Ann Olson of Montevideo, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Avera Granite Falls Care Center at the age of 88.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Anderson – TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

Ann Marie Carlson was born August 10, 1934 in Milan, MN to Emil and Signe (Smith) Carlson.  She was baptized and confirmed at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan, MN.  Ann was united in marriage to Wallace Olson on March 8, 1952 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo. They made their home in Montevideo, where they raised their six children.

Ann admired dogs passionately, she had many in her lifetime and enjoyed her grand-dogs as well.  She was a talented baker who could bake anything, she even won blue ribbons for bread and jam.  Ann enjoyed watching the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune daily.  She also enjoyed gardening and taking walks.  Most of all Ann loved nothing more than spending time with her family.  She was always supportive of her family in their many activities and will be missed greatly by all.

Ann is survived by her husband of 70 years, Wallace; children, Merlin Olson of Montevideo, Larry Olson of Montevideo, Lynda Olson of Montevideo, Shirley (Dan) Kumm of Montevideo, Arlen Olson of Montevideo, and Kevin (Stacie) Olson of Montevideo; grandchildren, Chad (Rochelle) Curtis, Marisa (Tim) Buseman, Michael (Amanda) Curtis, Natasha Hill, Tyler Hill, Zachary (Kami) Cook, Alexa (Jaron) Sorenson, Paige Olson (Nathan), Kionna  Olson (Andrew), Abby Olson (Jared), Sam Olson, and Natasha (Antonio Moorer) Hunley; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Ben Curtis and Autumn Buseman, Hunter Campbell and Murphy Milinkovich, Erich Michael, Dustin Joe, Dontae Moorer, Dominic Moorer, and Daylen Moorer; and other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Emil and Signe; baby boy, Allen; and brother, Robert (Mary) Carlson.
