Ann Steenson, 90, of Montevideo, died October 27, 1992 at Granite Manor in Granite Falls.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 30, at 1:00 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Bruce Kuenzel will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon and evening and at the church for one hour before services on Friday.
Anna Jennie Christenson was born March 3, 1902 at Echo, MN the daughter of the late Christ and Bertha (Kvistad) Christenson. She attended rural school near Clarkfield and later lived in the Maynard, Granite Falls, and Montevideo areas. She was united in marriage with Arthur Steenson on August 30, 1926 at Benson, MN. They farmed near Montevideo before moving into town. Ann worked in the Diet Kitchen at Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital for 17 years. Arthur died in March of 1985. Ann moved to Granite Manor in March of 1992.
She is survived by one son Herbert and his wife Kay of Granite Falls; one daughter Gloria Johnson and her husband Curtis of Montevideo; four grandchildren: Cyndi Lattimore and her husband Don, Kurt Johnson and his wife Deidre, Kari Hastad and her husband Dave, and Chris Steenson; five great-grandchildren: Marni, Kristian, Adam, Matthew, and Dana; and two sisters: Caroline Bennet and Enga Nelson both of Willmar.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Arthur; two sisters: Catherine Billings and Martha Holmes; and four brothers: Henry, Carl, Ben, and Martin.
