Anna Marie Larsen, of Montevideo, died on Monday, August 4, 2008 at the Chippewa Co - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 83.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. at the Maynard Presbyterian Church with Rev. Beverly Crute officiating. Interment will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 - 7 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Anna Marie (Heschke) Larsen was born on January 21, 1925 in Tuesdale, IA to William and (Emma) Martha (Degner) Heschke. She grew up in the Maynard and Waite Park, MN areas. On March 11, 1945 she was united in marriage to Louie Larsen Sr. in Waite Park. They farmed near Maynard, MN until moving into Montevideo in 1988. She was a long-time member of Maynard Presbyterian Church and active in its women's association. She was also a member of a homemakers group. She enjoyed sewing, woodcrafts, gardening and quilting.
She is survived by two children: Barbara Larsen of Montevideo and Louie Larsen, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Plymouth, MN; 2 grandchildren: Shannah Herron and her husband Jason and Travis Larsen; a brother, Clark Heschke and his wife Betty of Waite Park, MN; a sister, Lois Bednar and her husband Robert of Albuquerque, NM ; sister-in -laws: Margaret Preining, Norma Heschke, Margaret Larsen, Francis Larsen, and Grace Heschke; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louie in 1999 2 brothers: Eldon and Donald Heschke and by 2 sisters: Wilma Christenson and Alice Christenson
