Annie Norman, of Montevideo, died on Friday April 28, 1995 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 99.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday May 2, 1995 at 2:00 PM at Saron Lutheran Church of rural Montevideo. with Rev. Wayne Mensing officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Annie C. (Person) Norman was born on July 25, 1895 in Smoland, Sweden to Jens and Caroline Person. After being baptized in Sweden, she came to the Wegdahl, MN. area with her family to settle when she was 3 years old. She was confirmed at Strombeck Lutheran Church near Wegdahl. She attended rural schools and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1913. She attended Normal Training in Montevideo and taught rural schools for several years. She worked for a short time at the Milwaukee Railroad Office and at Dr. Benson's Medical Clinic in Montevideo. She was united in marriage to Bennie Norman on June 20, 1929 at her family home. She lived in the Montevideo area most of her life and has been a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home since 1983. She was a member of Saron Lutheran Church and was a member of its women's group.
She is survived by a son - Dale and his wife Sonja of Montevideo; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Bennie in 1963, and by brothers - Albert, Edward, Victor, and Axel Person, and by a sister - Selma Moe.
