Archie Sederstrom died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 97. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Matt Philaya will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour before the services at the church. Archie Henrietta (Fuller) Sederstrom was born December 10, 1914 at Jena, LA the daughter of Arch Henry and Lela (Shaifer) Fuller. She attended school in Jena. Archie married Clifford Sederstrom. They farmed in the Montevideo area for many years. After retiring, they moved into Montevideo. In 1973, they moved to Parkview Towers. She became a resident of Luther Haven in 2003. She was baptized and confirmed at Strombeck Lutheran Church and became a member of Salem Lutheran Church when they merged. Archie was a faithful member of Salem Lutheran Church, WELCA and Dorcas circle. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, crafts, and fishing. She is survived by her daughter, Gail (Arlin) Opdahl of Granite Falls, MN; seven grandchildren: Debra (Bill) Wilson and David (Pam) Glein of Oak Harbor, WA, Steven Opdahl of Redwood Falls, MN, Timothy (Rebecca) Opdahl and Craig (Sharol) Opdahl of Granite Falls, MN, Daniel (Rebecca) Glein of Palano, TX and Douglas (Jamie) Glein of Anacortes, WA; sister-in-law, Vivian Sederstrom of Montevideo, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was beloved "Nanny" to 20 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clifford in 1984; her daughter, Betty in 2011; and three sisters.
