Arlen Anderson, age 62, died at his home in Dawson. Memorial services 1:00 pm, Tuesday at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Our Saviour's of Baxter Lutheran Cemetery. Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home of Dawson is in charge of the arrangements.
Arlen Wayne Anderson was born March 3, 1937, in Dawson to Manford and Beulah (Faaberg) Anderson along with his twin brother, Arden. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Baxter Township. He graduated from Dawson High School in 1955. He farmed with his dad and then on his own until 1970. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Quenemoen on March 18, 1961, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. To this union Scott, Jacqueline, and Troy were born. They moved into Dawson in 1970, where he worked for FELCO and then the Farmer's Elevator. He lived with his mother until her death in 1994, and the last couple of years, until his death, made his home at 1029 Chestnut.
He liked history, and enjoyed cooking, fishing, and watching TV, especially old Laurel and Hardy movies.
Arlen is survived by his children: Scott (Sue) Anderson of Milbank, SD, Jackie (Dave) Hanson of Willmar, and Troy Anderson of LeRoy, MN; 12 grandchildren; twin-brother, Arden (Beverly) Anderson of rural Dawson; sisters: Janice Anderson of Hutchinson and Susan (Ron) Olson of Bloomington; other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter; daughter-in-law, Shelly Anderson; and brother, Donald Anderson.
