Arlene Husby, 71, of Montevideo died April 10, 1993 at her home in Montevideo.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13, at 2:30 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Warren Broughton and Rev. Lloyd Tobiassen will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Tuesday. There will be a prayer service Monday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
Arlene Lucille Heitkamp was born September 15, 1921 in Chippewa County, MN the daughter of Earl and Mabel (Zimmerle) Heitkamp. She attended rural school, graduated from Montevideo Senior High in 1935, and later from the Calhoun School of Business in Minneapolis. Arlene was united in marriage with Howard Husby December 16, 1942 in Montevideo. They made their home near Montevideo, Clara City, and Maynard before moving into Montevideo after retirement in 1981. Arlene worked as a bookkeeper for the Ford Garage in Montevideo. They also were caretakers of the fairgrounds during the 1980's. Howard died September 23, 1988.
She is survived by one daughter, Marie Ann Johnson and her husband John Howard of Wadena, MN; two sons: Jerry and his wife Nancy of Shoreview, MN and Dale and his wife Pamela of Farmington, MN; her mother Mabel Heitkamp of Montevideo, MN; seven grandchildren: Lisa Dailey and her husband Scott, Jon and Jason Johnson, Jan and Wendy Husby, and Bradley and Breanne Husby; two great-grandchildren: Stephanie and Amanda Dailey; one aunt and uncle, Glenn and Bernetta Heitkamp of Montevideo; two nephews; and several cousins.
Preceding her in death were her father and her husband.
