Arlene Jerve, of Montevideo, died on Friday, July 28, 2000 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 70.
Memorial services were conducted on Monday, July 31, 2000 at 10:30 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Warren Broughton officiating. Anderson Funeral Home of Montevideo was in charge of funeral arrangements.
Arlene Janet (Lund) Jerve was born on November 6, 1929 in Yellow Medicine Co., MN to Melvin and Agnes (Kittelson) Lund. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors' Lutheran Church in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1947. On March 6, 1948 she was united in marriage to Marvin Jerve at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She worked as a clerk at the ASCS office in Chippewa Co. before retiring. She was a lifelong resident of the Montevideo area and member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed being with her family, crocheting and knitting.
She is survived by her husband - Marvin; by sons - Ronald Jerve and his wife Gail, Bruce Jerve and his wife Melva and Dave Jerve and his wife Chris, all of Montevideo; a daughter - JoAnn Kolstad and her husband Kris of Willmar, MN; 10 grandchildren - Jeremy (and friend Melissa Bowers), Angie and Eric Jerve; Katie, Joelle and Marcus Jerve; Kelly, Paul & Jeff Jerve and Jenna Kolstad; a brother - Gerald Lund and his wife Jan of Montevideo; a sister - Lois Dyshaw and her husband John of Montevideo as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
