Arlyce (Larson) Mahlberg

Arlyce Mahlberg, resident of Watson, died on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 71.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Watson, MN.  Rev. Roger Fears will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required.  Arrangements are with Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the service on Saturday.

Arlyce Lynnette (Larson) Mahlberg was born in Montevideo, MN to Lawrence C. and Florence Ruby (Teigen) Larson on May 16, 1949.  She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church rural Watson.  Arlyce  attended school at Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis and following high school graduated from St. Scholastica in Duluth.  She went on to complete her Doctorate in Psychology.  She married Arthur Mahlberg on May 5, 1971 in Duluth.  Arlyce was a Sex Offender Psychologist for the Minnesota Sex Offender Program for 18 years at Minnesota Correctional Facility - Willow River/Moose Lake.

Arlyce was a member of Zion Lutheran Church rural Watson.  She enjoyed reading, horses, and making cards for all her friends and relatives.

Arlyce is survived by her step-daughter, Heather Bjornaas, Duluth, MN; siblings: LaVerne Larson, Kellogg, MN, Wallace (Audrey) Larson, Roseville, MN, Ardelle (Larson) Lamo, Minneapolis, MN, Leon (Patsy) Larson, Oshkosh, WI; three sisters-in-law: Pat Larson, Marge Larson and Lorraine Larson; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Mahlberg; her siblings: Allan Larson, Delane Larson, Arlene (Larson) Kashmark, Dean Larson, Danny Larson, and Gary Larson; two brothers-in-law: Albert Kashmark and Helge Lamo; and a sister-in-law, Connie Larson.
