Arne Evenson was born August 31, 1918 in Lac Qui Parle County, MN the son of John and Anna (Jordahl) Evenson. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dawson and attended rural school. Arne lived near Dawson and did farm labor for several area farmers. He moved into Dawson in the late 1970's. Arne lived at Park View Apartments and had been at the Madison Lutheran Home the past month. He enjoyed doing handwork with yarn.
Arne died Friday, September 24, 1999, at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 81.
He is survived by one sister, Alma Lee of Dawson; one brother, Victor Evenson of Dawson; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; five brothers: Noble, Bernard, Melvin, Helmer, and Obert; and one sister, Ruth Breberg.
