Arnold Clifford Anderson

Arnold C. Anderson of rural Watson, MN died on January 26, 2000 at his home at the age of 84.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 29, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Larry Olson officiating.

Visitation will be for one hour before the services.  Burial will be at Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery, rural Oklee, MN.

Arnold Clifford Anderson was born May 2, 1915 in Garnes Township, Red Lake County, MN the son of Edward and Clara (Skalet) Anderson.  He was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer Lutheran Church near Oklee, MN and attended rural school.  Arnold worked in a CC Camp before he served in the US Army.  He served in the 415th Air Service Group from March 7, 1942 until his discharge December 20, 1945.  He lived in the rural Watson area.  Arnold enjoyed playing his button accordion, dancing, and visiting relatives.  He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.

He is survived by three brothers: John Anderson and his wife Lily of Albert Lea, MN, Orlyn Anderson of Minneapolis, MN, and Kenneth Anderson and his wife Marcile of Glenville, MN; two sisters: Alice Smith of Gilmer, TX and Ida Thompson and her husband George of Ames, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Evelyn Stennes; and one brother, Palmer Anderson.
