Arnold DeWayne Johnson was born April 22, 1921 in Clay County, IA the son of Henry and Gladys (Lewis) Johnson. He moved with his family in 1932 to the Maynard area, where he grew to adulthood. He was united in marriage with Joyce Olson August 29, 1952 at Montevideo, MN. They made their home on a farm near Maynard.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; one son DeWayne of Alexandria, MN; one daughter Barbara Hannay of Esterville, IA; two granddaughters: Holly and Heather Hoskins of Champlin, MN; one brother Robert and his wife Peggy of Clinton, MN; and two sisters: Marilyn Joanne Peterson of Richfield, MN and Jocile Olson and her husband LeRoy of Montevideo, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law Jim Peterson.
Arnold D. Johnson died April 28, 1993 at the Chippewa County -Montevideo Hospital in Montevideo at the age of 72. May his memory be blessed.
