Arthur Bolt, of Montevideo, died on Monday February 20, 1995 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 90. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday February 25, 1995 at 1:30 P.M. at United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation or reviewal. Anderson Funeral Home of Montevideo is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Arthur J. Bolt was born on March 28, 1904 in Prinsburg, Mn. to John and Dora (DeVries) Bolt. He grew up in the Prinsburg/Renville area and attended Renville schools. He graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul. In 1929 he was united in marriage to Grace Van Buren. He operated the Bolt Grocery Store in Montevideo from 1930 - 1952. In 1952 he moved to Benson where he operated the Arthur Motel and was an Agent for State Farm Insurance. In 1974 he moved back to Montevideo and spent his retirement there. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Montevideo.
He is survived by his wife - Grace; by sons - Donald of Boca Raton, Fl; Norman of Wadena, Mn.; Harold of Reno, Nv; and Ralph of Bloomington, Il; by a daughter - Evelyn Foggy of New Port Ritchie, Fl.; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; by brothers - John, Ervin, Ansel, and Sophus Bolt; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
