Arthur J. Larson, 77, of Madison and formerly of Hagen, MN, died August 27, 1995 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, at 1:30 P.M. at Big Bend Lutheran Church. Rev. Kathryn Rothman will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service at 5:00 P.M.
Arthur Julian Larson was born July 13, 1918 in Big Bend Township, Chippewa County, MN the son of Jacob and Atta (Running) Larson. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-45 in the European Theater. Arthur was united in marriage with Darlene West July 5, 1952 at Sibley, IA. They made their home in Hagen, MN until 1993 when they moved to the Madison Lutheran Home. He worked for Larson Gravel Company for 42 years. Art was a member of American Legion Post #359 in Milan and VFW Post #4955 in Appleton.
He is survived by his wife Darlene of Madison; two brothers: Lloyd Larson and his wife Fern of Montevideo and J. Vernon Larson and his wife Gertrude of Watson, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers: Elroy and one in infancy; and two sisters: Alice Berven and one in infancy.
