Audrey Rache, 64, of Granite Falls died Saturday, September 3, 1994 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7 at 1:30 P.M. at Bergen Lutheran Church. Rev. Dave Mesner will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Audrey Mabel Syde was born February 28, 1930 at Montevideo, MN the daughter of Axel and Mabel (Ost) Syde. She attended country school district #13 in Chippewa County, graduated from Maynard High School in 1947 and from MontevideoTeachers Training in 1948. Audrey taught country school for 6 years, worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Montevideo for 20 years, and at the Granite Falls Hospital the past 14 years. She was united in marriage with Stanley Rache September 16, 1956. They made their home on a farm in Stony Run Township and was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church and circle, homemakers, Farmers Union (Secretary) and was a secret pal at work. Audrey was a wonderful wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley; one son, Kevin Rache of Atwater, MN; one daughter, Karen Hammond and her husband Mike of Everett, WA; four grandchildren: Dustin and Nathan Hammond and Adam and Erika Rache; two brothers: Dale Syde of Bloomington, MN and Don Syde of Tennessee; and three sisters: June Christiansen of Maynard; Carol Evenson of Montevideo, MN, and Arlys Flaa of Montevideo, MN; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
