Aurora Aspnes, of Minneapolis and formerly of Montevideo, died on August 18, 1995 in Minneapolis at the age of 91.
Committal services were Sunday August 20, 1995 at 2:30 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo with Rev. Douglas Olson officiating. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Aurora Therese Aspnes was born on December 24, 1903 in Montevideo, MN. to Elvind and Hilbertina (Martinson) Aspnes. She grew up in Montevideo and moved with her family to Waupaca, WI in 1916, where they lived until 1923 when they moved to Minneapolis and made their permanent residence there. She was an employee of Dayton Department Stores for 42 years and was one of the group of veteran store employees who helped prepare the new store in Southdale for it's opening in 1956. She retired from Daytons in 1968.
She is survived by a son Grieg Aspnes of Minneapolis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
