Barbara Jean (Spray) Hilden

Barbara Hilden, of Milan, died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 69.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan.  Rev. Tom Opoien will officiate and interment will be at Kviteseid Lutheran - Milan Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with the family present from 6-8:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:30 PM.

Barbara Jean (Spray) Hilden was born January 13, 1937 at Montevideo, MN the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Beckman) Spray.  She moved with her family as a young girl to a farm east of Milan.  Barbara graduated from Milan High School in 1954.  She worked in the bank in Milan for 13 years.  Barbara was united in marriage with Glen Hilden May 4, 1957 at Big Bend Lutheran Church.  They made their home on a farm east of Milan.  She loved to be outside and enjoyed helping with the farm work.  She served on the Milan School Board for several years, was active in 4-H, and a member of homemakers and caregiver group.  She enjoyed participating in the Bible Study group at church.

She is survived by her husband, Glen; two children: Karen Freeman and her husband Orin of Ethan, SD and Terry Hilden and his wife Laura of St. Cloud, MN; four grandsons: Jonathon, Matthew, and Michael Freeman and Ethan Hilden; her mother, Bertha Spray of Milan, MN; three brothers: Doug Spray of Montevideo, MN, Dale (Lorrie) Spray of Milan, MN, and Paul (Patee) Spray of Milan, MN; one sister, Eileen (Paul) Trelstad of Madison, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her father and one son, Gary.
