Beatrice Hutchison, 87, of Montevideo, died August 16, 1994 at the Clara City Nursing Home in Clara City, MN.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 19 at 10:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Rev. Robert Ford will officiate and interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Long Prairie, MN.
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home and at the church for one hour before services on Friday.
Beatrice Maude Dragoo was born November 3, 1906 at Merriville, MO the daughter of Thomas and Maude (Holaday) Dragoo. She attended school and grew to adulthood there. She was united in marriage with Ernest Haakinson September 18, 1924 in Souix City, IA. They later moved to Long Prairie, MN where she worked for Hart Press. Ernie died in 1949. She was the owner and operator of a Nursing Home in Long Prairie for a number of years. Beatrice was united in marriage with Kenneth Hutchison September 8, 1956 at Long Prairie. The farmed in Havelock and Leenthrop Townships, Chippewa County, MN before moving into Montevideo in 1975. Kenneth died February 19, 1978.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Bican of Montevideo, MN; seven grandchildren: Neal Haakinson of Waseca, MN, Leslie and Sharon Haakinson of Sauk Centre, MN, Nina Bartelt of Waseca, MN, Julie and Kenneth Neff of Waseca, MN, Lola Fennert of Wasica, MN, and Jaunita Kuech of Jacksonville, FL; 10 great-grandchildren; and one dauughter-in-law, Faye Haakinson of Waseca, MN.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Ernest Haakinson and Kenneth Hutchison; one son, Duane Haakinson; and one sister, Thelma.
