Belle Fulton

February 14, 1912 — March 29, 2016

Belle Fulton, of Dawson and formerly of Clifton, NJ, died Tuesday, March 29,2016 at the Johnson Memorial Nursing Home at the age of 104.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 3:30 P.M. at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson with Pastor Kendall Stelter and Pastor  Brooke Apple officiating.  Interment will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, NJ at a later date.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.

Arrangements are with Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home.

Belle Betty (Russell) Fulton was born February 14, 1912 in Tenafly, NJ the daughter of John and Susan (Easterbrook) Russell.  She was baptized at the Reformed Church of America and confirmed at Athenia Reformed Church.  Belle graduated from Clifton High School in 1920.  She attended certification course to become a librarian.  She served as the librarian at the Clifton Public Library for 20 years.  She was united in marriage with Frank Fulton September 1, 1934 in Clifton, NJ.  She was active in Women’s Club and the church choir at Allwood Community Church in Clifton, NJ and she enjoyed reading and doing handwork.

She is survived by her daughter, Laurel (Vern) Silvernale of Dawson, MN; her son-in-law, Bruce Casey, Sr. of Clifton, NJ; five grandchildren: Eric Silvernale, Bonnie Silvernale, Carin (Scott) McCoy, Bruce (Michele) Casey, Jr., and Sue (Greg) Flanagan; five great-grandchildren: Andrea, Shannon, Riley, Nora Belle, and Darin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents: her husband, Frank in 1991; her daughter, Diane Casey; a brother, Kenneth Russell; and two sisters: Ruth Eason and Margaret Cook.
