Bernard Bosch, formerly of Grace Twp, died on Monday, September 20, 1999 at the Clara City Nursing Home in Clara City at the age of 92.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 23, 1999 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Bernard David Bosch was born on December 12, 1906 in Scandia Township of Murray County, Minnesota to John and Georgia (Webster) Bosch. He grew up in Murray County and attended rural schools. On February 6, 1935 he was united in marriage to Ellen Marie Lee in Grace Township of Chippewa County, MN. They lived and farmed in Grace Township until moving to Montevideo in 1994 and later to Clara City in 1997. He was an active member of Rosewood United Methodist Church for many years, serving on many boards and committees, and was currently a member of the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. He served on the School Board in District #39, was Grace Township Treasurer, on the Benson COOP Creamery Board, a 4 H leader, was a member of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association, and was a member of Farm Bureau. He enjoyed traveling and wintered in Texas for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen of Clara City; two sons: Norman Bosch and his wife Wilma of Montevideo and Douglas Bosch and his wife Barbara of Montevideo; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Stewart of Clara City; and one son-in-law, Ronald Stevens of Montevideo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Joyce Stevens; one granddaughter, Janell Johnk; and two sisters: Gladys Wilke and Josephine Peeper.
