Betty Larson Siverhus, of Montevideo, passed away on May 24, 2018 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 87.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Pastor Jeff Fitzkappes of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating and eulogy/reflections by Pastor John Runyan of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Betty Jane (Gamble) Larson Siverhus was born on July 19, 1930 at her grandparents home in Big Bend, Swift County, MN to Earl and Bernice (Erickson) Gamble. She was baptized on August 10, 1930 at Zion Lutheran Church in Watson, MN and confirmed on September 15, 1944. Betty was united in marriage to Elvin Larson on June 25, 1949. Elvin passed away in 1984. Betty married Robert Siverhus on January 9, 1994. Robert passed away in 2013.
She enjoyed her time at Brookside Manor and looked forward to attending weekly Bible Study led by Pastor John Runyan. She treasured spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved visiting with friends and family.
Music was a huge part of her life growing up and she really enjoyed listening to her favorite artist, Daniel O' Donnell.
Betty is survived by her children: Larry (Sandy) Box Elder, SD, Randy (fiancee Barb), Dawson, MN, Dallas (Jan), Cannon Falls, MN, Cindy (Mark) Larson, Montevideo, Scott (Wendy), Clarkfield, MN, Julie (Larry) Suchanek, Montevideo, and Mike (Kim), Cottage Grove, MN; brothers: Ronald (Rachel) Gamble, Isanti, MN, Dennis (Judy) Gamble, Waverly, IA, David (Sandy) Gamble, Avon, MN, and Jerry (Karen) Gamble, Spring, Texas; sisters: Patsy (Harold) Leegaard, Dawson, MN and Janet Liebl, Dawson, MN; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elvin; second husband, Robert; parents, Earl and Bernice; sister, Jean Bergeson; brothers: Earl Jr. (Sonny) Gamble and Darrell Gamble.
Memorials are preferred to the Saint Martin’s Fund through Prairie Five or Trinity Lutheran Church.
