Beverly Amborn, 71, of Montevideo, died Friday, May 5, 2000 at her home in Montevideo.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, May 8, 2000 at 4:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montevideo. Fr. Jerry Paulson will preside and burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Beverly Jean (Gottsleben) Amborn was born October 27, 1928 at Sisseton, SD the daughter of Fred and Ida (Hanson) Gottsleben. She attended school and grew to adulthood there and later graduated from nurses training in Aberdeen, SD. She was united in marriage with Kenneth Amborn June 27, 1951 at Graceville, MN. She worked as a nurse at the hospital in Graceville before moving to Montevideo in the early 1950's. Bev worked at the Montevideo Hospital and at Luther Haven Nursing Home until retiring from nursing in the late 1970's. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities and spending time at the lake.
She is survived by four children: Kathy O’Brien of Minneapolis, MN, Keith Amborn and his wife Becky of Montevideo, MN, Karen Strand of Phoenix, AZ, and Kevin Amborn and his wife Michele of Montevideo, MN; seven grandchildren: Nick, Tim, and Charlynn Amborn, Shannon O’Brien, and Michael, Kaylie and Kelsey Amborn; and two brothers: Fred Gottsleben and his wife Claudia of Watertown, SD and Robert Gottsleben of Ortonville, MN.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Kenneth on February 7, 2000.
