Blake Thomas

Blake Donald Thomas passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, at the age of 24.

A celebration of life will be held at Grace Life Church in Marshall, Minnesota, on September 14, at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Bernard Wing officiating.

Visitation will be held on September 14th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Grace Life Church.

Blake Thomas was born April 20th, 2000 in Sioux Falls, SD to Brad Thomas and Angie Listul. Blake was baptized at First Methodist Church in White, SD. He was a 2018 graduate of Marshall High School. Blake will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh and his talent for lighting up any room. As Blake would always attest, it was his dimples that got him where he was. He cherished every moment spent fishing, whether alone or with loved ones; being outdoors brought him his greatest joy. He could be described at times as quite the adrenaline junkie, always seeking the next big adventure. Blake always had the best one liners… “be good, or be good at it.”

He was the glue of his family and will be greatly missed by them and many other partners in crime.

Blake is survived by his parents, Angie and Keith Listul of Hazel Run, and Brad Thomas of White, SD; his brothers, Brady Thomas of Watertown, SD, Brody Thomas of Watertown, SD, and Blaine Thomas of Marshall; his grandmothers, Tammie Lesselyoung and Karen Thomas; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Christiansen and Duane Thomas.
