November 8, 1943 — February 5, 1999

Bonnie Jean  Edith Ward was born on November 8, 1943, in Fulda, MN, to Warren and Edith (Speckmier) Ward.  She was baptized on May 5, 1944.  Bonnie remained in Fulda with her mother and grandparents until 1945, when upon his return from service in WW II, Warren moved his family to rural Montevideo.  Growing up on the farm, Bonnie worked with her parents and cared for a menagerie of pets.  She was confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo.
Upon her graduation from Clarkfield High School in 1961, she moved to the Twin Cities where she worked as a receptionist at Northwestern National Life.  Bonnie married Gene Rodney Greseth on June 15, 1963, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  They had two daughters.  In 1974, Bonnie and Rod returned to the Montevideo area, where he worked as an electrician and she cared for their children.  Bonnie was active in numerous school events, taught Sunday School, and served many years as a Girl Scout troop leader.  Bonnie was devoted to her children, and is remembered as a fixture at band concerts, cross country meets, and on field trips.  In 1983, she returned to the workforce, eventually finding her place as a secretary in the Montevideo Middle School.
On Friday, February 5, 1999, Bonnie died at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 55.
