A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 18, 2009, at 11:00 AM at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home Chapel in Dawson, MN. Brad Stangeland was born December 24, 1950, at Dawson, MN, the son of Jerome and Arlene (Luschen) Stangeland. He grew to adulthood in Dawson and graduated from Dawson High School in 1969. Brad worked as a Journeyman Electrician for Pritchard Electric in Crown City, OH. After a long, valiant battle with cancer, Brad left this world in the loving arms of his wife, Joyce, on June 19, 2009, in Crown City, OH at the age of 58. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Crown City, OH; four brothers: Michael (Donna) Stangeland of Madison, SD, Larry (Carol) Stangeland of Clear Lake, SD, Bobby Stangeland of Dawson, and Charles (Vicki) Stangeland of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Sue (Lonny) Moen of Boyd; four stepsons: Robert (Kathy) Bowsher, Michael (Mary) Bowsher, Donald (Diane) Bowsher, and Stephen (Jamie) Bowsher along with their children: Abby Bowsher, John Paul Curtis, Ryan and Logan Wills, and Jared Contraguerro; and nieces and nephews. Brad leaves a host of close friends who gathered with him in his last days. Special gratitude to a dear family friend, Molly Schaffnit, whose love and compassion will long be remembered, and Holzier Hospice for their care and commitment. Brad was preceded in death by his parents.
