Brenda Jean (Meador) Lund

Brenda Lund, of Montevideo, died on Saturday August 17, 1996 at the Chippewa Co - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 44.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday August 20, 1996 at 11:00 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church with Rev. Wayne Kopitzke officiating.   Burial will be in the Strombeck Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening, with the family from 7 - 8 P.M. and with a prayer service at 8:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Brenda Jean (Meador) Lund was born on April 30, 1952 to Earl and Gloria (Melton) Meador in Richmond, VA.  She was baptized and confirmed in Richmond, VA and graduated from Highland Springs High School in Highland Springs, VA in 1971.  She worked for a time as a nurse's aid at the Johnston - Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA before being united in marriage to Michael Lund on March 23, 1974 at her parent's home in Richmond, VA.  Following their marriage, they moved to Montevideo, MN where she has resided since.  She has lately worked Respite Care for the county, Onward Services, and at the REM home.  She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; one son, Michael, Jr. of Biloxi, MS; one daughter, Mary Ann Lund of Montevideo; her parents, Earl and Gloria Meador of Richmond, VA; her grandmother, Ethel Melton of Richmond, VA; two brothers:  Ronald and Douglas Meador both of Richmond, VA; and one sister, Sharon Giddings of Richmond, VA.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ray Melton; her grandparents, Paul and Pearl Meador;  and by her father and mother-in-law, Simon and Myrtle Lund.
