Bruce Ward, 60, of Montevideo, died March 29, 1993 at the Chippewa - County Montevideo Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 2 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Warren Broughton will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Friday.
Bruce Sheldon Ward was born April 13, 1932 at Montevideo, MN the son of Elmer and Julia (Johnson) Ward. He graduated from Montevideo Senior High in 1950. Bruce served in the US Army from 1951-52 where he was stationed in Germany. He worked for Hoganson Construction for several years. He also worked for pre-stress concrete companies in Great Falls, MT and Waren, MI before retiring in 1979. Bruce was now living at the Clarkfield Care Center.
He is survived by five children: Valerie Brommel of Montevideo, Chris Ward of Montevideo, Laurie Bluhm of Watertown, MN, Donna Ward of Great Falls, MT, and Sandy Werner of Montevideo; thirteen grandchildren; three sisters: Jean Billings of Montevideo, Peggy Haugen of Milan, and Joan Swanson of Estherville, IA; and three brothers: Elmer of Montevideo, Frank of Oklahoma, and Charles of Osakis, MN.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Dale.
